Can pearl barley (from the supermarket) be malted for use in home beer making?
Can pearl barley (from the supermarket) be malted for use in home beer making? I have trouble sourcing good and affordable ingredients for my home brewing, however pearl barley is both cheap and readily available. Is there any way I can make use of it?
dont use a kit, buy a book on home brewing, and follow every procedure to the max! then you will drink good beer.
I want to know what is the best home beer making kit availible.?
I’m going to start brewing my own beer at home and I want to find the best starter kit out there. I’ve seen the Mr. Beer microbrewery kit, but is it really the best thing out there. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Honestly, there is no “beer machine”, as in something you can just dump ingredients into and have beer come out of the other end. Beer is a product that has been around for hundreds of years, and the craft of making it involves years of experience and knowledge. Even if you begin to scratch the surface of such knowledge, you might be making beer in the technical sense, but not beer that anyone on Earth would want to actually drink.
Also, be careful that you don’t end up in legal trouble. Be careful and know your laws, or at least know how to not get caught.

There isn’t a “Machine” for it.
Making beer is a lot like cooking…just like you don’t have a “machine” for making lasagna.
Read http://howtobrew.com and you’ll have all the answers. You may have some of what’s required already. There are a whole list of supplies you’ll need to make beer correctly, just as there’s a whole list of supplies to make a full meal correctly.

The closest to a beer making machine would be their brewing sculptures which incorporate a collection of the various kettles and such that are used to make a batch of beer. They’re actually some impressive works of art/engineering.
