Beatles Hit in New Beer Ad
Author: Jarrett Newton
Beatle Children's Song to Promote Beer?
Alright I'll admit I enjoyed it. At first I believed I was going to call for a ban on the King of Beers over their use of the Fab Four's All Together Now in a beer advertisement. But, after watching the advertisment, I actually like the remake and accompanying video.
See the Beatles Budweiser Ad here...
Beatles Budweiser Beer Commercial Ad
Maybe it's OK to keep the groupsmusic in the public eye so they will continue for eternity. Or, does it degrade the songs to use what Paul claims was written as a children's song to promote beer? Leave your comments below!
Budweiser had the advertisment filmed during five days on a train in Chicago. The beggining shot of the city skyline appears a lot like the beggining view of Yellow Submarine's Liverpool. The bud ad shows marching band bass drummers, a giant inflateable panda bear, football players, a bride and groom and other characters in Chicago acting out the song lyrics.
Budweiser doesn't have the legal right to the recording of the Beatles version of All Together Now, so they hired a band named The Hours to record an extremely similar carbon copy. Their version of All Together Now even includes the party noises and toy horn. I suppose All Together Now wouldn't end properly without the beep beep. The major difference is that the singer is a female, but with extremely Beatle sounding voices singing accompanying vocals.
Supposedly the Hours made their version in a room in a hotel using a fire extinguisher banging a radiator as percussion. Sounds extremely influenced by John Lennon's hotel bed-in recording of Give Peace a Chance. I quesion if it really was made in the band's hotel. But apparently there is film of the hours making it. So I guess I'm wrong in my speculation.
The members of The Hours have played with Robbie Williams, Joe Strummer, Elastica, Black Grape & Pulp. Right now the band is on tour opening for U2.
The advertising company responsible for the creative commercial stated they dedicated fifty hours during five days shooting the 300 actors from the commutter train trying to keep everything in time with the All Together Now words. It appears as if the ad agency did a lot of editing to to do it. Definitely not a single shot, which would've been extraordinary but out of the question.
The spot took a team of over a hundred crew members and an additional 35 sets in addition to the scenic Chicago backdrop and train.
The ad will be televised in the UK on July 4th. I suppose as revenge for the US declaring independence from England, we won't be able to see the spot in the United States.
Let the world know your thoughts on the Budweiser All Together Now commercial. Leave your comment!

What is the beer commercial where the guys are making fun of their friends?
It aired tonight during the world series, and I can’t seem to remember the name of the beer, as I am trying to locate a video of the commercial. There were a few lines in it, “Trying to bring back the v-neck?” and “I love the ‘stache, but where did you dock the steamboat?”
Any answers?
