Halloween Treats
Submitted by: Dave

You have to be prepared always for the Halloween nights. You
may never know when the kiddies of your neighborhood ring the bell and shouts
"trick or treat". You can create the spooky ambience by using sound effects and
fog machines. But the ultimate effects can be brought by the delicious
Halloween dishes that look spooky just match the note of the Halloween. As 31st
is in the apple harvesting season, different apple dishes are made like candy
apples. But after some people started passing pins and razor blades in apple
candy, it became less popular. There are some dishes like the following that
look so weird, but they carry the essence of the occasion of Halloween. These
dishes are given such names that you can identify them within moments as the
part of Halloween recipes. Some of them are awful arachnids, eerie eyeballs,
freaky witches' fingers, brittle merangue bones, savory brain shrimp spread,
thick sugar cookies, professional butter cream frosting, pumpkin pie, salami
and cream cheese wraps and jack o'lantern cheese and crackers. Now, they get
such a look that perhaps any other time of the year you will not go for
them.

Some more dishes in the Halloween recipe list are tricky
crab triangles, spooky sandwiches, creepy crispy crunchies, deviled eggs,
decayed corpse chips with entrail salsa, spicy bat wings dried cherry scabs,
tooth decay fodder, oddly orange oreos, witches? brew (for the alcoholic) and
blooding human heart. Some of them are really easy to cook. But some others may
not be that easy. But once you put any of them in your treat, the success would
be beyond imagination. For the recipes, you do not have to try very hard.

Does anybody know the non-alcoholic recipe for Witches Brew? I used to know one that actually “steamed”.

    Hunch Punch aka Jungle Juice

Cooler filled with a bottle of Everclear, a bottle of Bacardi Superior, and two jugs of Hawaiian Punch. Throw in some ice and fruit.

  6. ? Rotary Dial ? says:

Classic, “old fashioned” cookbooks such as _The Joy Of Cooking_ by Irma Rombauer, contain many recipes for making punch with and without alcohol. You will be able to find books such as this one at the library, and you may know people you can borrow from.

Christmas and holiday cookbooks also often have hard punch recipes.

alcoholic punch recipe for halloween party?
I wanna make a *witches brew* or something funky like that for my halloween party – I don’t like ginger much – but anything else would be cool… I may put food coloring in it to make it like black or something… or bright red… any suggestions?

    Alcoholic Halloween Themed Punch Recipe?
My friend had a Halloween party a few years ago. She had the best punch. I believe it was called “Witch’s Brew” or something with the word “Witch” in it.

Anyway, I remember is was Champagne, Vodka, Orange Juice and I believe cranberry juice or maybe pineapple? I can’t remember.

Does anyone know this punch recipe. My friend no longer has it, she lost all her files on her computer.

  10. Morgan C says:

    The Witch’s Brew

    2 Bottles of Champagne
    1 Gallon Orange Juice
    1/2 Gallon Orange Sherbert
    1 Bunch peeled Black Grapes
    Sugar to taste
    1 Bottle (2l) Lemon-Lime Soda*
*for lower the alcohol content 1/2 Bottle vodka
    1/2 Bottle Vodka**
    **to raise the alcohol content
    Small pieces of Dry Ice
    Bunches of Grapes for Garnish

Combine Champagne and orange juice in large punch bowl. Scoop sherbert into bowl until it has produced a nice scum over the top. Add sugar to taste if desired. Float peeled grapes in mixture, and garnish bowl with the rest of the grapes. Drop in pieces of dry ice for steaming effect, but note that no one should put dry ice in his/her mouth. If you want to raise or lower the alcohol content in the punch, add vodka or clear soda respectively.
